Admission to School is not an automatic process and there is a requirement for parents and carers to submit an application to an Admissions Authority by a specified date.
For Community (formerly known as County schools) and for Voluntary Controlled Schools the Admission Authority is Carmarthenshire County Council and not the individual school.
There are different arrangements for Voluntary Aided Schools where the Admission Authority is the Governing Body of the individual school and you should contact the school directly in relation to admission enquiries or applications.
The deadline date for the receipt of applications for admission to a nursery and primary schools applications is the 31st January in the school year before the child is due to start school. Applications received after that date will be treated as being late and will be considered after those received on or before the 31st January.
